I completed my clinical rotations in 2022 and, honestly, I was completely unsure of my next move. I drifted away from medicine for a long time, but eventually, I made the decision to sit for Step 1. In my head, it seemed like a straightforward path, but reality hit hard. Balancing work and studying was incredibly challenging, and my initial performance reflected that.
